THE DEVELOPMENT OF WEAVING- TENUN- LEARNING MODEL TO ENHANCE THE QUALITY OF STUDENT LEARNING ON DYNAMICS OF THE EARTH MATERIALS IN HIGH SCHOOL

Abstract:

This study aims to determine the participation of students in the use of Weafing learning models against conventional models, related to understanding of the material dynamics of planet earth in high school students. This study uses research and development method with a test instruments and a sample of 72 high school students of class XI Senior High Schools 4 of Kupang. To test the activeness of using the observation sheet and the mastery test of the material concepts of the dynamics of the planet earth using 15 items in multiple choices. Analysis of the activity and learning outcomes is done using the correlated t-test formula. The result of the activity test data analysis show that the signicance level obtained is 0,015<0,05. This means that there are significant differences between the mean values of the experimental class and the control class. Data also shows that the average value of activeness obtained by the experimental class (76,9) is higher than the control class (68,8). In addition, the result of the analysis of learning outcomes data indicate that the significance level obtained is 0,00<0,05. This means that there is a significant difference between the value of the average learning outcomes of students in the experimental group and the control class. The data also showed that the experimental class average value (56) was higher than the control class (33,87).
